Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas-Howard star in the most wasted 135 minutes of my life.
When the island's dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen and Claire mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event.
Jurassic Park was a fantastic movie 30 years ago, but its legacy continues to be tarnished my the ever growing quantity of lack-lustre sequels, which not only under-utilise original cast members, but are just plain stupid.
The script is the biggest problem, it doesn’t make sense. Filled with plot holes, ridiculous, unnatural dialogue and exposition you feel they introduce major developments in the franchise and then never discuss them again. The CGI is good and Jeff Goldblum’s 2 minutes of screen time is enjoyable. Toby Jones does an admirable job in a supporting role, but Chris Pratt plays the exact same character as every other film. Bryce Dallas-Howard works to the best of her ability with the awful material.
Overall one to avoid unless you just want to watch dinosaurs getting shot for 2 hours.
