This film tried very hard to be edgy and offensive, it was crass - but it did create some hearty laughs.
Life is good for Mac (Rogen) and pregnant wife Kelly (Byrne), until the unruly sorority sisters of Kappa Nu move in next door. As loud parties continuously disrupt the peace, the couple turn to former neighbor and onetime enemy Teddy Sanders (Efron) for help. The trio devises schemes to get the wild sorority off the block. Unfortunately, the rebellious young women refuse to go down without a fight.
This is nothing but a dumb film and one should expect nothing less from the likes of Seth Rogen. His comedy is crude, somewhat offensive (Cosby jokes, really?) and occasionally funny. Despite how ridiculous this film is, the cast did have a solid rapport and it also didn’t feel like they were rehashing the same story from the first film - these characters continued to evolve (shallow though they were). It also attempted to have an underlying message and offer advice to people, but it failed on all accounts.
Overall, if you’re looking for a somewhat amusing film, which requires no thought or analysis and is at times shocking you’ve found it. Otherwise avoid this like the plague.
